Mrs Kathleen Fougere, age 66, of Wendell St., Riverview and formerly of Pré-d'en-Haut, passed away at The Moncton City Hospital, Saturday, August 23, 1997.

Born in Dover, NB, she was the daughter of the late Evans Powell and Grace Chapman. She operated a General Store and attended Notre Dame de l’Annonciation, Pré-d’en-Haut.

Mrs Fougere is survived by two daughters, Florence (Robert) Gaudet of La Montain and Dorina (Dominique) Bezier of Belgium; eight sons, David (Lena) Fougere of Dieppe, Donald (Susan) Fougere of Riverview, Clifford (Yolande) Fougere of Victoria, BC, Reginal (Sonia) Fougere of Turtle Creek, Eugene (Paulette) Fougere of Riverview, Paul (Jeanel) Fougere of Mississauga, Ont., Steven (Ronda) Fougere of Moncton, and Normand Fougere of Hamilton. Ont.; two sisters, Pauline (Jasper) Black of Mass., USA and Evelyne (Zoel) Fougere of Dover; two brothers, Gordon (Shirley) Powell of Fredericton, Jack (Iris) Powell of Dover; 18 grandchildren, one great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Fougere in 1977 and by her brothers Fred and Frank.

Remains are resting at Dupuis Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Notre Dame de l’Annonciation Roman Cattholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut on Monday, August 25, 1997 at 7:00 p.m., with Father Sylvio Doiron officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
